The Intro to Handguns Course is a good general overview of handgun selection and shooting. The Curriculum covers:
The various types of handguns and advantages and disadvantages of each.
The different types of ammunition and advantages and disadvatages of each.
Safe handling and storage of a firearm.
How to shoot a handgun accurately.
How to select the right handgun for your needs.
After the first class-room portion of the course, participants will go out to the range and shoot a variety of handguns, including .22LRs, 380 ACP, 9mm, 38 Special, 45 ACP, and 44 Special. Other calibers are available upon request. This is designed to be a low stress atmosphere, and no one will be pressured into shooting anything they are not comfortable with.
The cost is $40 (just to cover the cost of the ammunition used).
