Defensive Handgun Courses are designed to better prepare you to effectively deal with tough situations in which you may have to use your handgun to defend yourself. Listed below are the course descriptions and details. Each course is 3.5 - 4 hours in length and costs $75.

Defensive Handgun Level I:
This introductory course will pick up where the CHL course left off and focuses on defensive handgun fundamentals, including:
Participants will need a reliable handgun (preferably a semiautomatic), at least 1 extra magazine, and 200 rounds of ammunition. Additionally, each person must have a CHL or attended the CHL training before participating in the Defensive Handgun series.

Defensive Handgun Level II:
This course builds on Level I and will focus on:
Participants will need a reliable handgun (preferably a semiautomatic), a sturdy holster & mag pouch, at least 2 extra magazines, and 300 rounds of ammunition.
Defensive Handgun Level III:
This course builds on Level I and II and will focus on:
Participants will need a reliable handgun (preferably a semiautomatic), a sturdy holster & mag pouch, at least 2 extra magazines, and 300 rounds of ammunition.
Defensive Handgun Level IV:
This course takes all of the lessons learned in Levels I - III and applies them to low-light situations:
Participants will need a reliable handgun (preferably a semiautomatic), at least 2 extra magazine, 200 rounds of ammunition, a sturdy holster & mag pouch, and a tactical light (either hand-held or mounted on the handgun).
Accuracy is the foundation of Defensive Handgun Shooting. We start out focusing on precision, and then add speed to develop "combat accuracy."
A good stance is important to combining spped with accuracy. In the Defensive Handgun Course, we demonstrate both the Weaver and Isosceles stances.
